great unexpected gift! Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare
I am aware the fact that not all deaths are a feast. We are in Sicily. The shops are full at Christmas, especially sweets, toys and books. No santa, no.
The sweet deaths, grandparents, neighbors, strangers and known ... who returns to bring some gifts to those who remained, known or unknown. It 's a lucky day when we are together, at home or at the cemetery which is exploding with colorful flowers and chat, and we remember and we talk about. But the Sicilians not sad day. It is all together, incidentally, is a day as sweet almond paste, sugar as sweet as the colors of the stalls and I believe, I believe I believe. Thanks go to people. Protectors small coicidenze.
Yesterday Feltrinelli was packed and the line to pay coming upstairs. Mothers and children and people of all ages with arms full. I went to clear your credit card to take academic books. Do look at the English books, although I know it will be mostly the usual although I'm almost to beg to bring something new. None. I was never satisfied with if with Harry Potter. Even Deeper Linger came when it was already published in Italy (and I read it and at this point I do not know what language it ...) I put in a row, 12 minutes. Pago eye and I fell on this copy abandoned on the counter beside the cash ... I look and how much it costs not much but considering that it's a nice big book with paperback cover bright. But no money. Then the clerk tells me that I have gained a modest amount of comp points ... I look at the price of the book, and is the exact same amount, to the penny! I brought home the book. And I thanked the air to some readers who wanted to do this to me invisible gift of coincidences. Thanks. I have the book on the bedside table, and even if Clare do not know (I know that his books are published paperback Mondadori but expect them to be all three to take it ... I'm always broke unscrewed reader ... I know) I already know that will be a wonderful reading.
Clockwork Angel di Cassandra Clare
Magic is dangerous--but love is more dangerous still.
When sixteen-year-old Tessa Gray crosses the ocean to find her brother, her destination is England, the time is the reign of Queen Victoria, and something terrifying is waiting for her in London's Downworld, where vampires, warlocks and other supernatural folk stalk the gaslit streets. Only the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the world of demons, keep order amidst the chaos.
Kidnapped by the mysterious Dark Sisters, members of a secret organization called The Pandemonium Club, Tessa soon learns that she herself is a Downworlder with a rare ability: the power to transform, at will, into another person. What's more, the Magister, the shadowy figure who runs the Club, will stop at nothing to claim Tessa's power for his own.
Friendless and hunted, Tessa takes refuge with the Shadowhunters of the London Institute, who swear to find her brother if she will use her power to help them. She soon finds herself fascinated by--and torn between--two best friends: James, whose fragile beauty hides a deadly secret, and blue-eyed Will, whose caustic wit and volatile moods keep everyone in his life at arm's length...everyone, that is, but Tessa. As their search draws them deep into the heart of an arcane plot that threatens to destroy the Shadowhunters, Tessa realizes that she may need to choose between saving her brother and helping her new friends save the world ... and That Love May Be The Most Dangerous magic of all.
