Avendo avuto però la fortuna di essere, per così dire, “svezzato” da bravissimi professionisti dell'epoca, i quali vedevano nella “corretta relazione” l'unico modo possibile per accedere alla mente di un animale, mi è sempre riuscito difficile capire un altro sistema di approccio che non fosse quello basato sulla comunicazione etologica.
Nel tempo le mie capacità si svilupparono attraverso questo unico senso di marcia che ritenevo imposto più dal buon senso che non dalla tecnica fine a se stessa.
Il clamore sollevato dalle nuove applicazioni zooantropologiche (e sottolineo “clamore”) e dai “ sistemi gentili ” mi era sembrato eccessivo - se non addirittura incomprensibile.

Esiste l'addestramento in quanto insegnamento, o amplificazione guidata delle attitudini innate attraverso un'infinita serie di modi, ma non un modo canino gentile.
